Famous Aebleskiver Mix used at the Solvang Restaurant!
Solvang Restaurant has created an Instant Aebleskiver Mix for you. Easy to use, just add eggs and milk. The 1lb package makes approximately 30 balls. Also comes in a 4lb package that makes approximately 120 balls. This is the same recipe used in the Solvang Restaurant.
Here is a chance to experiment with your Aebleskiver. While discussing recipe ideas with friends we thought about trying fresh blueberries in the mix. And with Spring around the corner and Farmer’s Markets due to have peaches soon, oh the possibilities. Keep us posted with your own variation, we would love to share.
- Makes 120
- Bleached Wheat Flour (enriched with niacin, iron, thiamine monoitrate, riboflavin), Partially Hydrogenated Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (soybean, cottonseed, and/or canola), Dextrose, Sugar, Leavening (sodium acidpyrophospate sodium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate), Whey, Corn Flour, Salt, Soy Flour, Egg Yolks, Buttermilk CONTAINS Eggs, Milk, Wheat, Soy.
- Combine 4 eggs and 1 pint of milk and stir, add 1 pound (3-1/2 cups) of Arne’s Aebleskiver Mix. Let sit for 10-15 minutes. Pre-heat Aebleskiver Pan on medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon of cooking oil to each cavity. Fill to level with batter. Turn a little at the time when they form a crust, using a knitting needle. Keep on turning until done. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar and raspberry jam. One pound of Aebleskiver Mix yields approximately 30 balls.
