Recipe Idea

While on holiday in Bali this summer, we took an Aebleskiver pan and mix to the Villa Alir that we were guests at. The housekeeper/cooks fell in love with them and instead of us treating them to a morning off, they took over the cooking and were pros in no time. They created a wonderful sauce with the local fruit called Jack Fruit. They also made some with fresh mango and papaya inside. So if you are feeling tropical, give it a try, they were delicious. From what I hear, if you stay at the Alir, Aebleskiver are now on the menu, but they call them Bali Balls!

We make every effort to recycle at the Solvang Restaurant; this includes the Mail Order Business. So please don’t be surprised if your packing peanuts are a rainbow of colors, we collect them from other merchants so they don’t throw them in the trash. We also recycle cardboard boxes, so your jam may show up in a syrup or aebleskiver mix or pan box. Just trying to keep it green here in beautiful Solvang. Hope to see you here!
